The Creative Music Foundation is acting as the nonprofit ‘fiscal sponsor’ for CMS alumnus Sylvain Leroux’s project to teach music to children in Guinea, West Africa. CMF is taking tax-deductible donations for the ‘l’Ecole Fula Flute.’ Read Sylvain’s story of how he started the school and the progress it’s made.

Something very special has been happening in Guinea and l’Ecole Fula Flute has taken a life of its own.
Magic Mountain is the first recording from the Kalmanovitch Maneri Duo. We recorded this album at our favorite hall in the United States: New England Conservatory’s landmark Jordan Hall. Now, we’re raising funds to release this album and build a new platform for our music and our message.
Rock ‘n Shop @ The Paper Box will be Bushwick’s first pop-up “alternative mall” open every Sunday from 9:00AM–7:00PM. Sponsored by Red Bull, it is “an exciting new live venue/market space filling the void left by Brooklyn Night Bazaar’s untimely demise.” (Speak Into My Good Eye)
With the goal of presenting Brooklyn culture under one roof, rock band and art collective, The Bushwick Hotel, will transform The Paper Box, one of Bushwick’s largest music venues, into a truly unique Brooklyn shopping, culinary, and entertainment experience. With up to seven free all ages matinee shows, attendees can spend the day enjoying delicious food and drinks, shopping for art, crafts, apparel, jewelry, accessories, records, or get a tattoo, a haircut and even a beard trim.
