The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC), in Historic Red Hook, Brooklyn, is excited to present our upcoming exhibition, “In the Groove”: International Exhibition of Album Cover Artwork. This upcoming international print exhibition of original album cover artwork, to be on view for three seasons, May 12th – Oct 28th, 2018, seeks to celebrate the mutually inspiring, creative relationship between music and art, and to recognize the profound cultural impact and influence of the art form itself, its trailblazing history and ever evolving visual and conceptual strategies.

“In the Groove: International Exhibition of Album Cover Artwork” is open to the public weekends from Saturday, May 12 through Sunday October 28th, 1- 6 pm at the BWAC’s Gallery 25,000 square foot gallery, located in a Civil War-era warehouse directly on the waterfront, facing the New York Harbor and Statue of Liberty at 481 Van Brunt Street, Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY 11231.
Opening day reception, Saturday May 12th.
Established in 1978, BWAC’s A 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, BWAC is also Brooklyn’s largest artist-run organization. BWAC receives 10,000 annual visitors during its three exhibition seasons. BWAC continues to present contemporary visual art, from the traditional to the experimental, along with ambitious musical and spoken word programs. Space for the BWAC gallery is generously donated by The O’Connell Organization and Kings Harbor View Associates.
