#1 Event: Letter Writing for Political Prisoners (with Amnesty International)

Date: Monday Dec. 7th: 12pm-2pm

Where: Columbia University (in front of Butler Library) & New School for Social Research

About: University Students’ Day is a day for global solidarity with Iranian students and activists. Where Is My Vote‐NY is working with Amnesty International to produce letters for this event. Each letter will highlight a specific human rights abuse (i.e a specific political prisoner) and will demand the Iranian government respect the human rights and dignity of students and activists. We are inviting students from across the globe to sign these letters.

Green bracelets, pins, and/or ribbons will be distrubuted to show support for human rights in Iran. This is part of a global project to compile images from campuses across the world to show solidarity with Iranian students and activists.
