Text by J4JA

Hey All:

I hope this message finds you safe and well. Between last week’s hurricane and yesterday’s election, it has been a very busy and trying couple of weeks here in New York and around the country. Now, after a brief hiatus, the Justice for Jazz Artists campaign is back in action!

Jazz Foundation hurricane relief

The Jazz Foundation of America, an endorser of the J4JA campaign, is organization that provides aid to older jazz and blues musicians and they have been doing some great work in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Please consider donating to their efforts, and contact them if you know a musician in need:

Our Next J4JA March:

Join us this Wednesday night, as we march with a live band to both the Village Vanguard and the Blue Note to spread our message: club owners need to do the right thing and sign on to provide Pension, Pay scales, and Protections on recordings for all musicians who play the club.

Date: Wednesday, November 14th
Location: meet at the corner of W 11th St & 7th Ave (in front of Two Boots Pizza)
Time: 8:30pm

Bring a friend, bring an instrument!
