Brooklyn Independent Music Festival is a three day celebration of the vast talent and dedication that fuels the independent music scenes of Brooklyn and the surrounding boroughs, and an attempt to unify various local independent music scenes, artists, and fans—in order to help inspire, motivate and promote these groups collectively. Our mission is to actively bring together NYC’s best independent musicians to spread awareness of the groundbreaking music that is being created continuous basis in this city.

Having received literally hundreds of band applications from NYC and the Northeast, the complete festival bill of 60 bands and 12 DJs will be announced in early August and will represent an un-rivaled opportunity for fans to sample many of the best bands this city has to offer. Visit Bkindiefest.org and click on bands to see Band bios, photos, audio, and videos of the bands that have already been accepted onto the bill. The venue, Littlefield —actively supportive of this event and its mission, and boasting a small carbon footprint with its wind power and recycled material construction—offers the opportunity of programming on 2 stages, in a gorgeous warehouse-turned-club space, with a full bar, world class sound system, and just a few blocks from the subway, on the Park Slope/ Gowanus border in Brooklyn.

There is so much potential to make this an unforgettable and incredible event, but we NEED your support to make sure this festival is as ground-breaking as it possibly can be! We are still in need of funds to pay for a number of essential services related to putting on such an event. With your help, we hope to get as much backing as we can to help pay for things like security for when the crowd goes wild with excitement; a production staff of sound engineers and quality back-line equipment to ensure that every band has everything they need to play the best show they can; a staff of dedicated interns and professionals who have been pouring their sweat into this event from the beginning; Promotional materials to make sure that this event provides the artists with exposure to as many new fans as possible; and other operating costs to make sure this festival is successful this year and in years to come.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT- THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO MAKE THIS DREAM A REALITY!!
