(Le) Poisson Rouge is thrilled to announce its newest monthly dance party in The Gallery at LPR: NASTY MONDAYS. Known as one of Barcelona’s hottest parties, NASTY MONDAYS regularly draws more than 2,500 revelers to rock out with stage performers, local live bands, and internationally known artists. Nasty Mondays has hosted official afterparties for artists including Franz Ferdinand, Mando Diao, and The Sounds, just to name a few.

What the legendary and recently shuttered OPTIMO did for Glasgow, NASTY MONDAYS has done for Barcelona.

NASTY MONDAYS mixes 50’s rockabilly with 80’s new wave, 90’s grunge, and recent hits and remixes. Old school rock ‘n’ roll plays off of hip-hop and electro tunes. From Guns ‘n’ Roses to Grand Master Flash, The Beastie Boys to Johnny Cash, their playlists oscillate between The Ting Tings, Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, Blondie, Run DMC, Elvis, Mötley Crüe, and AC/DC, to name just a few.

DJ’s Max and Sören have set the standard for the Barcelona playlist, starting a movement of in-club arrangements five years running that is still going strong. Known for their party-starting skills, and taste-making prowess, NASTY MONDAYS DJs have brought their flavor throughout Spain, in Ibiza and Madrid, and across Europe, in Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. Now that Nasty Mondays is aiming to bring the world-renowned Barcelona party-stamina to the states, it has found its partner in (Le) Poisson Rouge, and designated The Gallery as its launchpad.

LPR’s consistent mission to merge visionary artists from around the world, people of character, and a consistently dynamic environment, lends NASTY MONDAYS an ideal environment for planting its flag in the original city that never sleeps.
