Wildly imaginative stories and studies in sound, by a quintet of veteran improvising musicians… In September 2013, Larry Ochs was in residence at The Stone. On Tuesday and Wednesday of that week, he presented this quintet for the first time ever, to enthusiastic acclaim. But most importantly, all five musicians were really excited by what happened at The Stone. The music was on fire, the compositions sparked their imaginations and left plenty of room for continued exploration. December 5, 2014 marks the first appearance by this quintet since that time, primarily because Ochs lives in San Francisco Bay Area, and busy schedules made it difficult to connect. At The Firehouse Space the band will perform updated versions of the pieces done at The Stone plus other new work to prepare for a studio recording a few days following this concert.

Ken Filiano Bass
Pascal Niggenkemper Bass
