On Friday, Ny-ers will have another opportunity to get out and do a little something for the people of Japan hit by this crazy series of natural cataclysms, and resulting nuclear power insanity. The folks at Nihongo Channel, a Japanese culture website, are organizing this event in conjunction with painter Naomi Takeshi and other, non-Japanese artists. It’s called WA-GO Unity Vol.1, and it will happen in NY on Friday April first, with the full support of some other artists from Afrika and the USA, and Japan, all pulling together and trying to show their support for the people suffering in northern Japan as a result of the Earthquake and Tsunami.
All who are free should try to get out to this………
Sohrab Saadat Ladjevardi (saxophone) and Jim Hoey (guitar) of DooBeeDooBeeDoo will also perform between 8pm and 9pm at this event Friday night, April 1st.
