These artists make fun and challenging music that doesn’t fit into the conventional “NOLA music” box. Music that is adventurous and present, while being a clear evolution from the local heritage and history. They’ll be playing in different combinations, and we can guarantee you won’t know what to expect. That spontaneous energy runs in the veins of this community, and we need your support to help get this celebration off the ground!
Your donations will help us guarantee a fair fee for every musician performing in the festival, with equal pay going to every artist in an effort to truly value the work. This financial security will allow us to go above and beyond with promoting the event, so that we can expose bigger and newer audiences to this vital community, and we hope you will be a part of it too!
We will only receive the pledged donations IF we reach our $6,000, so please give generously, we’ve got some great rewards available, depending on what tier you give it, and you can also donate any amount you’d like and select a reward at or below that dollar amount.

Search & Restore was founded in NYC in late 2007 by Adam Schatz. It has since grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, committed to bringing the artists and audiences of new jazz and improvised music together in new ways, while never forgetting its DIY roots. Search & Restore currently organizes the Winter Jazzfest & Undead Music Festival in New York, and recently launched Search And Restore.com, the most dynamic point of discovery online for the scene.
