Traditional notions of music authorship and attribution are being challenged with the advent of creative AI. These AI models are much more complex than directly sampling a song. As a result, the legal and regulatory landscape around generative AI is a hot topic for rights holders. Join in on an interactive roundtable discussion as we explore how AI is impacting the music industry and how as music professionals can we have our say in how these new tools can grow and evolve without negatively impacting our livelihoods.

Leading the discussion is Adam Reifsteck (MFM Board Member and Founder of Music Producers Alliance), Barry Heyman (MFM Board Member and Copyright Attorney/Heyman Law), David Newhoff (Copyright Advocate and Editor of illusionofmore.com), Roger Blanc (MFM Board Member, member of NY Chapter leader of the Recording Musicians Association/RMA, and Local 802), and Jerome Harris (member of Local 802 and President of the Music Workers Alliance).

Participants will also be able to contribute their experiences and perspectives during this event.
