33 Musicians – woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion: Go: Organic Orchestra blends improv and composition, orchestral robustness and globally informed grooves, in an ever shifting ensemble led by Adam Rudolph.

These include tone rows, synthetic scales, melodies, linguistic shapes, intervallic patterns, textural gestures, modes, ragas, maqams, and plainchant. Greg Peterson (solo set w/piano) and Two Mule Team (Garner/Brown with guest Peterson)

There’s a band, or some might say the rumor of a band, called Rattle (Greg Peterson, Pat Gubler, Rick Brown and Sue Garner). Rattle has in fact played in front of audiences 3 or 4 times – over the course of the nearly 6 years since these four have been playing music together. It’s been a while since the last one, but another will happen “eventually”… There was a hope that this event would be that “next one”, but while that turns out to be impossible, 3/4ths of Rattle will bring music and (hopefully) entertainment to The Manhattan Inn on April 17th at 10:00.

Greg is usually found playing the guitar in various groups (Batillus, The Scene is Now, Rattle), but his first instrument was the piano. It’s been a long time since he’s performed a solo piano set, and he’s not sure where this evening’s performance will lead, but it will probably involve a bit of ragtime, jazz, some originals, a standard or two, and maybe even some singing.

Sue and Rick (Two Mule Team) have made music together for many years in a number of contexts, including the bands Fish & Roses and Run On, both of which they founded. The duo’s album _Still_ was released on Thrill Jockey Records as the second of three Sue Garner records on that label. Besides Rattle and the occasional appearance by Sue with 75 Dollar Bill (duo of Che Chen and RB), the two play in Love Layers with a bunch of friends blowing, bowing and banging. This won’t be like that.
