The Creative Music Foundation (CMF) to Sponsor l’Ecole Fula Flute in West Africa

The Creative Music Foundation is acting as the nonprofit ‘fiscal sponsor’ for CMS alumnus Sylvain Leroux’s project to teach music to children in Guinea, West Africa. Magic Mountain is the first recording from the Kalmanovitch Maneri Duo. We recorded this album at our favorite hall in the United States: New England Conservatory’s landmark Jordan Hall. Now, we’re raising funds to release this album and build a new platform for our music and our message.

Inner Attunement is a documentary film by Michael Lucio Sternbach about the musical brotherhood of bassist William Parker and drummer Hamid Drake. Known worldwide as of one of the premier rhythm sections of jazz, the two discuss their musical kinship and the shamanistic sound ceremonies they deploy worldwide. Inner Attunement is a comprehensive look into their music, which becomes a conversation about the substantial lessons we learn in life.
