Musicians rights: French production company KIDAM is cheating some of New York’s top jazz musicians

Dear DooBeeDoo readers and NY musicians!

I  think you should know about another new ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! case. This time musicians in NY are exploited by a French production company. The union organized a rally which we support and endorse. Please join the rally or distribute this announcement in your social networks.

Dear Member:

French production company KIDAM is cheating some of New York’s top jazz musicians. Over nine months after recording musicians at Winter Jazzfest, KIDAM has still not fully paid many musicians.

Don’t let KIDAM get away with exploiting musicians. Sign a petition telling KIDAM’s CEO that they must honor their agreement and treat jazz musicians fairly.

KIDAM signed a single project letter with AFM agreeing to wages and benefits for musicians recorded at JazzFest for future broadcast on the French television station Mezzo. Well over a hundred musicians are covered by this agreement, but Kidam left the country refusing to honor their contractual promises.

Don’t let KIDAM get away with exploiting musicians. Sign a petition telling KIDAM’s CEO that they must honor their agreement and treat jazz musicians fairly.

If you are in New York next week, please join musicians at a rally on Thursday, October 8th at 2 pm demanding justice for these jazz artists. Click here for more information on the rally.

Musicians standing together have the power.

In Unity,
Ray Hair
